More Great News, Parents!!

As you know ASD started offering digital learning classes to our HS students in 2015-2016 school year, as mandated by the state of Arkansas. We are partnering with Virtual Arkansas to provide all our online academic courses. Some of the courses we offered this school year included; Spanish, ACT prep, and Essentials to computer programming (ECP). We recognize the opportunities these online classes have brought, and will continue to bring to our student population for years to come, and we are very excited for them. In the 2016-2017 school year we will have seven students taking various classes like those mentioned above as well as Medical Terminology. We will also have a new facilitator to keep the students on track and motivated to do their best.

In addition to digital classes, ASD and Metropolitan Career and Technical Learning Center in Little Rock have partnered to offer students (starting their Junior year) career classes. In the Fall we will have 6 students making their way to "Metro" to learn, study and train in areas such as Welding, Cosmetology, Culinary, and Computer Engineering Technoloy. We are making every effort to expand their horizons, and open new doors!

Last, but not least, ASD will also be partnering with the Thompson Driving School to provide driving instructions for our students starting in the 2016-2017 school year! I know, right!!

We are going to have an awesome school year! Thank you parents for all you do!

TEAM WORK; MAKES THE DREAM WORK!!

Thank you for the opportunity to eduate your student.
